First of all, why Canithermo?

Canithermo was born from a love story. From fifteen years shared with Fidji, my dog, my life companion, my anchor.

She was there in the most difficult moments.

Always present, loyal, joyful and free. She was my sunshine. Then, as time inevitably passed, I watched her grow old.

Arthritis, myelodegeneration, epilepsy...

Her body no longer followed what her gaze still projected.

I tried to help her, to relieve her (always in addition to her veterinary care).

I tried dietary supplements in all their forms: not palatable enough, refused, or impossible to chew because she no longer had teeth.

Anti-bedsore mattresses designed for humans and therefore unsuitable for her morphology. I searched relentlessly for new products, grandmother's remedies, I even tried joint gels for horses. And ultimately, I came up against the limits of what existed.

Do you feel it? Do you recognize it? The feeling of being powerless? Canithermo was born from this powerlessness.

The basic idea was simple: to support the dog globally, from the inside and the outside.

So I searched and I thought. From awareness to scientific research, I finally realized something very simple: joints, muscles, connective tissue, all need to be protected at any age.

For whom?

For the puppy that grows too fast.

For the athletic dog that recovers with difficulty.

For the working dog whose body is a daily tool.

And yes... for the senior who is slowing down.

Pain and physical fatigue unfortunately do not choose a particular profile.

For the inside: Canithermo Mobility

We chose to create two formulas, because a senior dog and a sports dog do not have the same needs.

The powder formula is designed for aging dogs. It combines several complementary active ingredients to care for joints over time. The goal is to provide structural support and help reduce discomfort by protecting tissues. Why powder? Simply because it is easy to incorporate into the daily meal... Whether the dog has teeth or not, whether it is picky or not.

The syrup formula, on the other hand, is designed for active and athletic dogs. It is easily dosed and provides targeted support for joints subjected to regular exertion. Its liquid suspension formula allows for rapid absorption and effortless administration. Its liquid texture and palatable taste make it a true "treat" for the dog. The goal is for it to be perceived as a "candy" and not as a treatment.

Both formulas were developed with ingredients mainly sourced in Europe, in a deliberate approach to local sourcing. They are manufactured in Belgium, in a factory with which we work directly.

Because knowing where what we offer comes from is also important.

Two formulas, two profiles but ultimately one ambition: for the dog to continue to move with as little pain as possible, whether it is 3 years old or 12 years old.

For the outside: Canithermo Top and Bottom

Our garments are designed from a blend of technical materials, including thermo-bonded perforated neoprene, with no seams.

No seams is a deliberate choice: zero rubbing, zero pressure points, zero discomfort for a dog that is already suffering or active.

Neoprene maintains the body's natural heat in the joint and muscle areas, where it is useful. This is not artificial heat; there is no risk of burning your dog, nor any need to plug it in. As the garments are 100% adjustable, they do not create excessive compression.

The goal is to work with what the body already produces, so that muscles remain flexible and joints are relieved.

And especially because a garment is useless if the dog doesn't tolerate it well or if the owner gives up putting it on after 4 days.

Ultimately, every detail has been considered: the breathability of the materials, freedom of movement, and ease of application.

Canithermo does not promise miracles.

On the other hand, pain and physical fatigue are never resolved by a single solution. They require a more comprehensive, more attentive approach... This is what we have tried to offer with Canithermo.This is also why sourcing is at the heart of the project.

The garments are made in Portugal, the supplements in Belgium.

When certain technical materials need to be sourced elsewhere, they are compared, tested, questioned, and rejected if they do not meet the requirements.

Alongside the products, the Canithermo Explains Blog. The mission of this blog is to share sourced content from PubMed, accessible to everyone. Not to replace a veterinarian! But to better understand, better prevent, better question. I hope that people here will find answers to painful experiences. Why did my dog die of osteosarcoma? Why was my female dog dysplastic, and then the second female dog I got of the same breed? Why did all my Labradors end up obese? Was I a bad owner? Is it my fault?

If, thanks to this blog, I have managed to soothe some hearts, if, thanks to my clothes and supplements, I have managed to relieve your dogs, I will consider my mission complete.

Canithermo was born for Fidji.

But it exists for all dogs whose bodies deserve attention before suffering too much.
